I worked with Sam as my personal trainer for around a year. When I started, I knew very little about workouts (or how to get in better shape). Sam first worked with me for a while to improve my base strength (core, back, etc.) so that I didn’t injure myself. Once I started getting some strength in those areas, my workouts and weightlifting improved dramatically. One of the biggest things that helped me was that he taught me to better understand when I was lifting incorrectly. This really helped outside the gym as I started paying attention to my posture and form in my daily life (such as when I lift my kids up). Sam did an incredible job identifying which areas of my body were weakest then targeting those areas in new workouts. I could clearly see improvement over time as I followed his workout plan. He also helped with some basic information on nutrition and supplements to ensure I had enough nutrients for the workout program to be effective. My diet at the time was not sufficient for the workouts and I didn’t realize how much that affected my muscle growth until I started working with him. It was very helpful that he focused on all aspects of fitness instead of just which weights to lift. I would highly recommend him as a trainer, especially to people who are newer to fitness.
